A\u00a0tweet<\/a> by optical mouse inventor Steve Kirsch promotes the idea that the CDC admits that flu, shingles, and COVID vaccines can all cause pericarditis that lead to death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]We can forgive someone used to the world of tech for being new to vaccines and medicine. Do we have evidence that anyone investigated flu or shingles vaccines in relation to pericarditis? Here is an\u00a0article<\/a>\u00a0back from 2000 discussing the possibility of pericarditis after flu vaccination and additional\u00a0case reports<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0articles<\/a>\u00a0from 2018. These case reports, of course, are not proof of causation, but they are proof that no one is hiding anything.<\/p>\n

The tweet cites an article from the Epoch Times, a far-right media company rated \u201cUnreliable, Problematic<\/a>\u201d and affiliated with\u00a0the\u00a0Falun Gong religious movement, the same religious movement connected to the\u00a0Shen Yun<\/a>\u00a0dance troupe. The article is based on a reply from the CDC regarding an FOIA request by Epoch Times. The website does not supply the letter in their article, so it is difficult to know what the facts are.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s notable that in his next\u00a0tweet<\/a>, Kirsch claims that all cases of pericarditis are caused by COVID vaccines, so he does not seem to be too concerned about flu or shingles vaccines. His proof is VAERS, and we know that anyone can submit a report to\u00a0VAERS<\/a>. VAERS\u00a0is helpful for keeping track of vaccine safety, but\u00a0just\u00a0because something is reported doesn\u2019t mean\u00a0the\u00a0vaccine caused it.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0most pertinent warning on\u00a0the\u00a0website<\/a>\u00a0helps put\u00a0the\u00a0above claims into context:\u00a0\u201cVAERS\u00a0reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable.\u00a0Reports to\u00a0VAERS\u00a0can also be biased. As a result, there are limitations on how\u00a0the\u00a0data can be used scientifically.
