In response to a\u00a0new study<\/a>\u00a0suggesting that no deaths can be attributed to myocarditis caused by COVID mRNA vaccination,\u00a0anti-vaccine media<\/a> is actively criticizing the study\u2019s methodologies and claiming other studies disprove it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]The\u00a0study<\/a>\u00a0identified\u00a01,292 deaths among people 16\u201330 years old between June 2021\u2013December 2022 in Oregon and looked at vaccination rates and causes of death. The data did not show a link between vaccination and previously healthy young persons.<\/p>\n

The tweet cites an article from the Epoch Times, a far-right media company rated \u201cUnreliable, Problematic<\/a>\u201d and affiliated with\u00a0the\u00a0Falun Gong religious movement. The primary claim that this CDC study doesn\u2019t \u201cdisprove a link between COVID-19 vaccines and sudden deaths among young people\u201d is accurate since proving a negative is tricky.<\/p>\n

In general, proving a negative (proving that the vaccine doesn\u2019t cause cardiac deaths) is much more difficult and often impossible compared to proving a positive. Science usually tries to find out and show what exists or what effects happen instead of trying to prove that something doesn\u2019t exist or happen. The authors of the study even explained that one of the limitations of their study included a small sample size, and for a very rare event, you\u2019d need a very large sample size to discover it.<\/p>\n

One of the things pointed out in the article in the Epoch Times was that a previous Korean\u00a0study<\/a>\u00a0did show a link between vaccination and sudden death. What the data showed was that out of over 44.2 million individuals who had been vaccinated, they found eight (8) deaths under the age of 45 (.000018%) connected to\u00a0sudden cardiac death as a result of\u00a0vaccination-related myocarditis.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
