Where did this thousand-plus figure come from? VAERS.<\/p>\n

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS):\u00a0VAERS Analyzes reports of adverse events that happen after vaccination. Anyone can submit a report to VAERS, and submissions do not mean that a vaccine definitely caused the event. See the\u00a0FAQs<\/a>\u00a0below for more information on VAERS.<\/p>\n

It is\u00a0crucial to remember that anyone\u00a0can report anything\u00a0to VAERS, regardless of causation,\u00a0as is\u00a0noted on the VAERS\u00a0website<\/a>. One doctor famously submitted a report that the flu shot turned him into the\u00a0Incredible Hulk<\/a>. VAERS is helpful for keeping track of vaccine safety, but just because something is reported doesn\u2019t mean the vaccine caused it. Even if they\u2019re not sure, doctors should report any important health problems that happen after vaccination.<\/p>\n

The most pertinent warning on the website helps put the above claims into context:\u00a0\u201cVAERS reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable.\u00a0Reports to VAERS can also be biased. As a result, there are limitations on how the data can be used scientifically.
