Several online influencers across platforms are\u00a0boosting<\/a> a newly published Swiss study, claiming the study proves that cardiac events after vaccination are more common than we are being led to believe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]An interesting note: our\u00a0former rapper<\/a>\u00a0from above also cited an article discussing this\u00a0Swiss study<\/a>. Why does this matter? The study concludes that vaccine-induced myocarditis is mild and people\u2019s outcomes are good.<\/p>\n

The study\u00a0investigated the effects of an\u00a0mRNA COVID\u00a0booster vaccination on the heart. The authors found that about 2.8% of participants showed elevated levels of a protein called high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) in their blood after receiving the booster. This protein can indicate possible heart injury. It can also indicate someone has just finished\u00a0strenuous exercise<\/a>\u00a0and many other conditions.<\/p>\n

The study did not measure participants\u2019 baseline levels before vaccination, so some individuals might have had elevated levels before getting the vaccine. The troponin elevation observed was moderate and transient, similar to what can occur after intense physical activity. This moderate increase may not mean anything about the vaccine or myocarditis.<\/p>\n

The risk of severe cardiovascular problems from\u00a0COVID<\/a>\u00a0is higher than the mild and transient effects observed in the study.
