A\u00a0very, very, very long tweet<\/a> citing a long video claims to reveal statistics about the harm from COVID vaccines in the U.S.: 26.6 million people injured, 300,000 people dead, and $150 billion in lost work time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]The tweet is based on a\u00a0project<\/a>\u00a0staffed by a computer scientist and finance experts.<\/p>\n

If vaccines were responsible for all these deaths during\u00a0the\u00a0pandemic,\u00a0the\u00a0communities with\u00a0the\u00a0highest vaccination rates would have a higher rate of deaths. \u00a0However, data shows that\u00a0the\u00a0opposite is true.\u00a0The\u00a0communities with\u00a0the\u00a0highest vaccination rates had\u00a0lower death rates<\/a>\u00a0than\u00a0the\u00a0communities with low vaccination rates.<\/p>\n

To come up with the injury statistic, the project incorrectly analyzes\u00a0V-Safe data<\/a>, which actually shows that over 90% of side effects were non-serious, short-acting, and self-resolving. It also relies on the infamous\u00a0Florida paper<\/a>, which also incorrectly analyzed data, this time from clinical trials.<\/p>\n

It makes a number of other incorrect\u00a0assumptions<\/a>.\u00a0For example, it claims \u201cthe emergence of milder and more contagious virus strains such as Omicron, it is difficult to argue if COVID-19 had a significant role in excess mortality.\u201d\u00a0Omicron, however, is far from benign and was associated with a large number of\u00a0deaths<\/a>.<\/p>\n

COVID infection, however, has been\u00a0responsible<\/a>\u00a0for over 1.1 million deaths and 6.1 million hospitalizations\u00a0\u00a0up to\u00a07.7 million<\/a>\u00a0cases of\u00a0long COVID,\u00a0with a cost of over\u00a0$160 billion<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
