The study\u2019s \u201cpopulation included adults aged between 18 and 100 years, with a mean of 60.8 years and a standard deviation of 16 years.\u201d This tells us that the study didn\u2019t analyze deaths in the general population (where the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/populationandmigration\/populationestimates\/bulletins\/annualmidyearpopulationestimates\/mid2021\">median age is 40.7 years<\/a>).
