The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/covid19.nih.gov\/news-and-stories\/covid-19-vaccines-and-menstrual-cycle\">facts<\/a>\u00a0paint a different portrait.<\/p>\n<p>Variations in menstrual cycles aren\u2019t often studied in vaccine clinical trials and follow-up studies. In this case, some people suggested a connection. The first\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.ohsu.edu\/2022\/09\/27\/global-study-finds-covid-19-vaccination-can-affect-menstrual-cycle\">studies<\/a>\u00a0showed that any changes in menstrual cycles were temporary.<\/p>\n<p>What scientists usually do and also did in this case, however, is study the effect of vaccines on fertility.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0264410X22011185\">Studies<\/a>\u00a0do not show any correlation between the COVID vaccine and reduced fertility.
