Websites<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Twitter influencers<\/a>\u00a0are claiming that 1,000 scientific studies prove that COVID vaccines are unsafe. That\u2019s a lot of studies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]The first 100 studies listed all discussed the same topic: myocarditis\/pericarditis after COVID vaccination.\u00a0We already know<\/a>\u00a0that myocarditis and pericarditis are rare side effects of the mRNA COVID vaccines, but we also know that myocarditis caused by the vaccine tends to be\u00a0mild<\/a>\u00a0and self-limiting, and\u00a0the risks of myocarditis are actually much higher after COVID infection itself<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If we dig further into these lists,\u00a0one link shows<\/a>\u00a0that out of 2.8 million vaccines administered by the military, a total of 23 instances of myocarditis were reported. The article notes: \u201cVigilance for rare adverse events, including myocarditis, after COVID-19 vaccination is warranted but should not diminish overall confidence in vaccination during the current pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The technique of simply\u00a0listing papers is a form of Gish Gallop<\/a>. After all, who in their right mind is going to read through 1,000 scientific papers to see if they truly support the claims against vaccines?\u00a0And that\u2019s really the point<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those of us who have been around for a while remember the case of the mother who kept adding to her\u00a0very long list of articles<\/a>\u00a0she said proved that vaccines cause autism.
