None of this points to proof of collusion within CDC to hide information. Rather, it is a discussion about how to deal with\u00a0confounding factors<\/a>\u00a0that might lead to incorrect conclusions.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, we know that\u00a0vaccines do not cause\u00a0autism<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And we know a lot now about\u00a0thimerosal<\/a>. Thimerosal has been used safely in vaccines, drugs, and contact solutions since\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a01930s. Nowadays, most vaccines use thimerosal-free single-use vials, and thimerosal-free flu vaccines are available for those still concerned.\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0vast, vast majority of studies show that\u00a0thimerosal\u00a0<\/a>does\u00a0not<\/a>\u00a0increase\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0risk of\u00a0autism.
