In an\u00a0interview<\/a>\u00a0with Joe Rogan, actor Dennis Quaid has been listening to\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0wrong stuff about COVID vaccines, claiming that they are increasing death and cancer rates.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]Vaccines do not change our molecular structure or DNA.\u00a0Dr. Paul Offit<\/a>\u00a0explains that it\u2019s virtually impossible for\u00a0DNA\u00a0fragments in COVID\u00a0mRNA vaccines to cause harm, such as cancers or autoimmune diseases. He outlines three protective mechanisms in our cells that prevent these\u00a0DNA\u00a0fragments from causing harm:\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0cytoplasm\u2019s immune mechanisms and enzymes destroy foreign\u00a0DNA;\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0DNA\u00a0fragments lack a necessary signal to enter\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0nucleus; and they also lack\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0integrase enzyme needed to integrate into our\u00a0DNA.<\/p>\n

There is\u00a0no scientific evidence or plausible mechanism<\/a>\u00a0suggesting that these DNA fragments would alter our genome to cause cancer. No evidence supports\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0claim that COVID-19 vaccines cause so-called turbo cancer or any other form of cancer.<\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0idea that these\u00a0turbo\u00a0cancers are a result of vaccines stems, in part, from claims that doctors are seeing huge spikes in\u00a0cancer\u00a0rates. However, even some of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0most powerful carcinogens can take years to\u00a0manifest<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0form of\u00a0cancer. While there has been an increase in early-onset cancers (not\u00a0turbo\u00a0cancer), this increase started in\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0early\u00a01990s<\/a>, well before\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0introduction of COVID vaccines.<\/p>\n

Vaccines are\u00a0not shown to cause\u00a0cancer<\/a>, and anti-vaxxers have yet to produce credible evidence<\/a>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine is causing cancers, turbo or otherwise.<\/p>\n
