We agree because this was NOT an outbreak of measles.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fact<\/span>, there wasn’t even a case of measles.\u00a0What this was was a rash, which is a known\u00a0side effect<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0MMR vaccine.\u00a0This\u00a0rash<\/a>\u00a0can occur in about 5% of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0children who get\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0MMR, typically after about 7-10 days, and is not a sign of illness or contagious, even though they might test\u00a0positive<\/a>\u00a0for measles at first.<\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0CDC didn’t hide anything, as there was nothing to hide.\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0child\u00a0just<\/span>\u00a0didn’t have measles, but simply had a known and uncomplicated reaction. Reading this event any other way is cynical, seeing public health agencies as nefarious organizations trying to trick people.
