First,\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0study doesn’t mention\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0words cancer or damage, let alone immune system damage, even once. and Makis himself doesn’t offer up any evidence in support of his claims.\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0study notes that IgG4 antibodies increased over time, but there is no link made between these antibodies and any negative impact.<\/p>\n

Makis claims that high levels of IgG4 are linked to a higher risk of cancer and damage to\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0immune system, but there aren’t any studies that prove this. While scientific understanding of\u00a0IgG4 immune cells is still evolving, this\u00a0paper<\/a>\u00a0looked at\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0issue of\u00a0IgG4\u00a0and offered that\u00a0they make up\u00a0only<\/span>\u00a0a small part of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0antibodies that target\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0COVID spike protein after vaccination.\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0paper concluded that, overall, these antibodies are unlikely to weaken\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0immunity of vaccinated people.<\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0claim that\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0paper concludes\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine was a failure is inaccurate. In\u00a0fact<\/span>,\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0paper pointed out that\u00a0vaccinated children who came down with COVID had no or\u00a0only<\/span>\u00a0mild symptoms by\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0time of study follow-up, suggesting that\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine did work.<\/p>\n

We already know that\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0COVID vaccine doesn’t offer 100% immunity but can\u00a0reduce\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0risk<\/a>\u00a0of long COVID and\u00a0reduce<\/a>\u00a0symptoms and mortality if people catch COVID.\u00a0 We would call Makis’ take on this disinformation since he purposely skews and distorts\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0real findings of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0study.<\/p>\n
