These viruses can be easily told apart from each other using\u00a0lab tests.<\/p>\n

While both conditions can cause rashes and blisters, how each disease presents is\u00a0different<\/a>\u00a0enough that no one should mistake\u00a0one for\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0other.\u00a0Depending on\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0type, Mpox might show on\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0full body or specifically on\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0hands, feet, and torso. Shingles is\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0reactivation of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0chickenpox virus along a\u00a0nerve path<\/a>, so it will\u00a0only<\/span>\u00a0affect a specific region of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0body served by that nerve group and usually\u00a0only<\/span>\u00a0one side of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0body.<\/p>\n

Mpox outbreaks are mostly in\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) right now, where\u00a0only<\/span>\u00a012.9%<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0population received at least one COVID vaccine.\u00a0If mpox were indeed a side effect of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0COVID vaccine, you’d expect to see most of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0cases\u00a0in countries with\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0highest rates<\/a>\u00a0of COVID vaccination, like\u00a0Portugal (96%), and Cuba (95%), and Vietnam (93%), but in reality, up to\u00a096%<\/a>\u00a0of all mpox cases are in\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0DRC.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
