Remember that anyone\u00a0can report anything\u00a0to\u00a0VAERS, even if what they report wasn’t caused by\u00a0the\u00a0vaccine,\u00a0as noted on\u00a0the\u00a0VAERS\u00a0website<\/a>. One doctor famously submitted a report that\u00a0the\u00a0flu shot turned him into\u00a0the\u00a0Incredible Hulk<\/a>.\u00a0VAERS\u00a0is helpful for keeping track of vaccine safety, but\u00a0just\u00a0because something is reported doesn’t mean\u00a0the\u00a0vaccine caused it.<\/p>\n

Claiming that brain clots are \u201c112,000% more likely\u201d or \u201c20,700% more likely\u201d after COVID-19 vaccination is misleading because the study uses\u00a0Proportional Reporting Ratios (PPRs) that don\u2019t account for the\u00a0actual risk<\/a>\u00a0in the population.
