This is a special edition of our newsletter where we will tackle several claims from that hearing.<\/p>\n

In this hearing we heard claims that COVID vaccines cause deadly heart attacks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”The Facts:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]COVID itself can to\u00a0contribute<\/a>\u00a0to strokes and heart attacks.<\/strong>\u00a0However, studies show the opposite for vaccines, including this latest\u00a0study<\/a>\u00a0that shows that staying current with COVID-19 vaccines cuts the risk of strokes, blood clots, and heart attacks in half in people over 65 and those with certain health conditions. The study involved over 12.7 million older adults and about 78,600 people with severe kidney disease. It found that the bivalent booster is about 47% effective in preventing heart-related issues in the older group, and 51% effective in the kidney disease group.<\/p>\n

Some people may get myocarditis risk and blood clot risk confused and jump to conclusions.\u00a0The mRNA vaccines do carry a small risk of\u00a0myocarditis<\/a>\u00a0in young men and adolescent boys, but it often resolves on its own relatively quickly.\u00a0Anti-vaccine activists have used prior concerns about a particular type of blood clot associated\u00a0with\u00a0adenovirus vector vaccines<\/a>.\u00a0mRNA vaccines have a\u00a0minimal risk<\/a>\u00a0of blood clots. These facts contradict rather than confirm the paramedic\u2019s bias.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0risks<\/a>\u00a0of myocarditis from COVID far outweigh the risks of myocarditis from COVID vaccines. COVID infection itself can cause\u00a0heart failure<\/a>\u00a0or a heart attack.
