These nanoparticles are like tiny packages that hold\u00a0the\u00a0mRNA used in\u00a0the\u00a0COVID vaccine.\u00a0The\u00a0scientists put a special label on these nanoparticles that allowed them to see where they went in\u00a0the\u00a0rats’ bodies and how long they stayed there.<\/p>\n

When we look at\u00a0the\u00a0data, we see that most of\u00a0the\u00a0nanoparticles stayed where they were injected, and some went to\u00a0the\u00a0liver. Only very tiny amounts, less than 1%, went to other parts of\u00a0the\u00a0body, and in most places, it was even less than 0.1%. So,\u00a0the\u00a0claim that most of these nanoparticles spread throughout\u00a0the\u00a0body is\u00a0not correct<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of mRNA stays near the muscle and breaks down within a day or two.\u202fThe small amount of spike protein it makes is cleared fast, so it does not build up in other organs or keep churning out years later.<\/p>\n

Large real\u2011world studies on people trying to get pregnant and on thousands of pregnancies show no extra risk for infertility, miscarriage, or problems for the baby after COVID vaccination.\u202fResearch on couples, IVF clinics, and more than 100,000 pregnancies shows\u00a0the\u00a0vaccines are not associated with risks for\u00a0fertility<\/a>, pregnancies, or babies, and vaccination actually\u00a0lowers<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0risk of severe illness during pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Anti-vaccine activists have used prior concerns about a particular type of blood\u00a0clot\u00a0associated\u00a0with\u00a0adenovirus vector vaccines<\/a>.\u00a0mRNA vaccines, like Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, have a\u00a0minimal risk<\/a>\u00a0of blood\u00a0clots, unlike\u00a0COVID itself<\/a>, which significantly increases\u00a0the\u00a0risk of blood\u00a0clots\u00a0and stroke.<\/p>\n

Some teens and young adults can get mild myocarditis after an mRNA dose, but most cases clear with rest, and catching COVID is still more likely to hurt the heart than the vaccine.\u202fIn most people, being\u00a0vaccinated<\/a>\u00a0on shots actually reduced the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and clots.<\/p>\n
