Additionally, the measurements should have been validated by a different method (e.g. qPCR, capillary gel electrophoresis) and ideally by an independent researcher\/institution.”<\/p>\n

Viruses are\u00a0obligate intracellular parasites<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0need\u00a0host cells to grow. Since human cells are sometimes best for growing human viruses, some vaccines use\u00a0cell\u00a0lines derived from two elective pregnancy terminations back in the 60s. Because these\u00a0cell\u00a0lines are practically immortal, manufacturers can continue using this\u00a0cell\u00a0line; there are no new sources of human\u00a0fetal\u00a0cells.<\/p>\n

Dr. Stanley Plotkin, in a\u00a0series of videos<\/a>, explains how we can use\u00a0fetal cell lines<\/a>\u00a0developed decades ago to manufacture vaccines today.
