The video being shared\u00a0<strong>does not<\/strong>\u00a0say that he had a vaccine injury.<\/p>\n<p>Some people worry about the speed of COVID vaccine development and often point to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voicesforvaccines.org\/science\/vaccinesafety\/\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D09bc8a38ce%26e%3D7362aa7434&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1771019276698000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3WNSZnUZz_mLDYwv-4oD4o\">VAERS<\/a>. VAERS stands for the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. It is run by the CDC and FDA as an early warning system. Anyone can submit a report if something happens after a vaccine. But a report does not prove the vaccine caused the problem. VAERS is meant to spot patterns that scientists can study more carefully. It cannot, by itself, show that a vaccine caused harm.<\/p>\n<p>There has also been discussion about ivermectin. Ivermectin is a real medicine that is approved to treat certain conditions, such as some parasite infections. However, it is not approved to treat or prevent COVID.\u00a0The FDA has clearly stated that ivermectin is not for COVID treatment .<\/p>\n<p>Large clinical trials have studied ivermectin for COVID.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.factcheck.org\/2022\/09\/scicheck-clinical-trials-show-ivermectin-does-not-benefit-covid-19-patients-contrary-to-social-media-claims\/\" rel=\"noopener\">These studies<\/a>\u00a0found that it does not meaningfully help people recover from COVID or prevent long COVID. While ivermectin is generally safe when used correctly for approved reasons, it can still cause side effects.
