This is a public reporting system where anyone can submit a report about a health problem after vaccination. However, these reports do not prove that a vaccine caused the problem. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccine-safety-systems\/vaers\/index.html\">VAERS website\u00a0<\/a>clearly warns that reports may be incomplete, inaccurate, or coincidental, and the data has limits when used for scientific conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>Many\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahajournals.org\/doi\/10.1161\/STROKEAHA.122.040430\">studies<\/a>\u00a0have looked at the safety of COVID\u00a0vaccines. These\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-024-49634-x\">studies<\/a>\u00a0show that the vaccines are safe for most people.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1876034125003703\">One study\u00a0<\/a>also points out that\u00a0getting very sick with COVID\u00a0can greatly raise the risk of a stroke (when blood flow to the brain is blocked) and other blood clots.
