They were thoroughly tested in large studies and do not change your DNA but instead teach your body how to fight\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0virus without giving you\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0illness.<\/p>\n<p>We also know you can\u00a0<span class=\"il\">only<\/span>\u00a0make\u00a0spike\u00a0protein\u00a0so long as you have\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0instructions for making\u00a0spike\u00a0protein\u00a0in your\u00a0body, and that comes from mRNA. One great thing about using mRNA in these vaccines is that mRNA\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nebraskamed.com\/COVID\/where-mrna-vaccines-and-spike-proteins-go\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D73a0b26d9f%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728325226678000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0XmSjZOOajGO7ezcK5iHMa\">degrades<\/a>\u00a0very quickly, generally within days.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">The<\/span>\u00a0spike\u00a0protein\u00a0<wbr \/>stimulates immunity and will be neutralized by\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0immune system. But it will generally be produced for\u00a0<span class=\"il\">only<\/span>\u00a0a few days.<\/p>\n<p>That\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0COVID vaccines were not\u00a0tested\u00a0for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-takes-key-action-fight-against-covid-19-issuing-emergency-use-authorization-first-covid-19v\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3De84331632c%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728325226678000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2NFRUZ06ZSu1amn4oQZszU\">transmission<\/a>\u00a0is not news, nor is it something that was kept under wraps.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">The<\/span>\u00a0FDA\u00a0authorization\u00a0<wbr \/>for\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0EUA back in Dec 2020 spelled out that \u201cAt this time, data are not available to make a determination about how long\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine will provide protection, nor is there evidence that\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine prevents\u00a0transmission\u00a0of SARS-CoV-2 from person to person.\u201d But we did know that it would provide protection from hospitalization and death.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamanetworkopen\/fullarticle\/2792598\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D4a5c1d2b2e%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728325226678000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2p6xuS_Ipz9ZhuxSZEa3R7\">study<\/a>\u00a0shows that even when infected with COVID, those who are fully vaccinated were contagious for about half as long and infected far fewer people (almost a quarter fewer) than those who were partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.\u00a0And these\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucsf.edu\/news\/2022\/12\/424546\/covid-19-vaccines-prior-infection-reduce-transmission-omicron\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D9f449d7977%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728325226678000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3aVHhbp-SAz5N-zqz8tI-N\">newer<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC10975059\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D67ece16fc1%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728325226678000&amp;usg=AOvVaw29RdqFl_49HP7hSM8kaZSi\">studies<\/a>\u00a0support\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0idea that vaccinated people are less likely to transmit\u00a0COVID.<\/p>\n<p>In summary, there is no fraud, wrongful advertising, or mass negligent homicide to prosecute.
