However,\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0development and distribution of COVID vaccines were actually part of a worldwide effort to solve a public health crisis. Governments, international organizations, and drug companies worked together to speed up vaccine production. Many vaccines were created with a lot of government funding to make sure they were made quickly and available to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>If we are talking about money, COVID vaccination saved us money.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">The<\/span>\u00a0U.S. campaign alone was estimated to have saved\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cidrap.umn.edu\/covid-19\/report-covid-19-vaccines-saved-us-115-trillion-3-million-lives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dfb8593e76e%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728940766846000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3fd8Rt_fU0VB-v5m-0bLGg\">$1.15 trillion<\/a>\u00a0by preventing over 3.2 million deaths and 18.5 million hospitalizations through November 2022. This massive financial benefit came from reducing healthcare costs, avoiding losses in productivity, and other societal costs tied to hospitalizations and deaths. Those cost savings benefitted every American.<\/p>\n<p>They also claim that serious vaccine side effects and deaths are ignored or overlooked. Except after a vaccine is approved and widely used, it is continuously\u00a0monitored\u00a0for safety. Health agencies like\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0CDC and\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0FDA have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voicesforvaccines.org\/science\/vaccinesafety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Debbe40ef60%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728940766846000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0lNQhW0caERtmcL396cs_v\">vaccine safety systems<\/a>\u00a0in place, like\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), to track any reported side effects. While scientific understanding of\u00a0IgG4 immune cells is still evolving, this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/sciimmunol.adg7327\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D4aaeca81ee%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1728940766846000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1UC_N0wJXEPC_3Hg2cbkpV\">paper<\/a>\u00a0looked at\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0issue of\u00a0IgG4\u00a0and offered that\u00a0they make up\u00a0<span class=\"il\">only<\/span>\u00a0a small part of\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0antibodies that target\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0COVID spike protein after vaccination.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">The<\/span>\u00a0paper concluded that, overall, these antibodies are unlikely to weaken\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0immunity of vaccinated people.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">The<\/span>\u00a0claim that\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0paper concludes\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0vaccine was a failure is inaccurate.
