Shingles is\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0reactivation of\u00a0<span class=\"il\">the<\/span>\u00a0chickenpox virus along a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/nerve-paths-that-shingles-follow#shingles-nerve-paths\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" (DRC) right now, where\u00a0<span class=\"il\">only<\/span>\u00a0<a
