He outlines three protective mechanisms in our cells that prevent these\u00a0DNA\u00a0fragments from causing harm:\u00a0the\u00a0cytoplasm\u2019s immune mechanisms and enzymes destroy foreign\u00a0DNA;\u00a0the\u00a0DNA\u00a0fragments lack a necessary signal to enter\u00a0the\u00a0nucleus; and they also lack\u00a0the\u00a0integrase enzyme needed to integrate into our\u00a0DNA.<\/p>\n<p>There is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/healthfeedback.org\/claimreview\/residual-dna-covid19-mrna-vaccines-documented-not-associated-with-genome-modification-cancer-contrary-robert-malone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D39b38aed78%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1734291284394000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2yvl58psJ8ltpzSh3iehU8\">no scientific evidence or plausible mechanism<\/a>\u00a0suggesting that these DNA fragments would alter our genome to cause cancer. No evidence supports\u00a0the\u00a0claim that COVID-19 vaccines cause so-called turbo cancer or any other form of cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet also shows\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.medpagetoday.com\/infectiousdisease\/covid19vaccine\/117731?emci=1cc0bd57-759f-f011-8e61-6045bded8ba4&amp;emdi=a837cced-939f-f011-8e61-6045bded8ba4&amp;ceid=4108393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a>\u00a0from South Korea that said COVID\u00a0vaccines might raise the risk of cancer, but experts say the study has big problems. Scientists explained that the study did not look at important factors, like how people who get vaccines are also more likely to have cancer screenings. That can make it look as though more cancers are occurring. The study also only watched people for a year, or even just a month, which is not long enough\u00a0because cancers usually take many years to develop.<\/p>\n<p>There is also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/about-cancer\/coronavirus\/covid-19-vaccines-people-with-cancer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D564e55ad15%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1740540034552000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0NA6WzebxZFjZymF1wjyuN\">no evidence<\/a>\u00a0that COVID vaccines cause cancer. A reanalysis means looking at the data from a study again, but using a different method to see if you get new results.<\/p>\n<p>Hooker\u2019s reanalysis was first published in a medical journal called the\u00a0<em>Journal of Translational Neurodegeneration<\/em>. Later, the journal retracted it, saying\u00a0it should not be trusted. The paper was then published again by another group, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Association_of_American_Physicians_and_Surgeons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Association of Physicians and Surgeons<\/a>. This group is very small and is known for supporting weak or questionable scientific claims.<\/p>\n<p>Experts criticized Hooker\u2019s work. They said it had serious problems and did not consider other important factors that might affect the results. They also said he used the CDC\u2019s (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) data in the wrong way and that his overall study design was not appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>One problem was that Hooker used a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4763690\/#:~:text=Cohort%20design%20is%20a%20type,of%20the%20outcome%20of%20interest.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Df6f380c692%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1696190662304000&amp;usg=AOvVaw17itL6FDmU5t-BJcrjamRt\">cohort design<\/a>, which is a study method where researchers follow groups of people over time to see how different experiences, like getting a vaccine, affect them. The original dataset, however, was meant for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/himmelfarb.gwu.edu\/tutorials\/studydesign101\/casecontrols.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D45eb0f811d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1696190662304000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3_G70ccn2GTvQ99e0NZJ1E\">case-control analysis<\/a>, which compares people who already have a condition (such as autism) with people who don\u2019t, to see what may have caused the difference. Because Hooker switched methods, his results were not reliable.<\/p>\n<p>Hooker also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HpjlcEH4zuY&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">divided<\/a>\u00a0the data into many smaller groups and tested them again and again. These smaller group tests are called \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/handbook-5-1.cochrane.org\/chapter_9\/9_6_2_what_are_subgroup_analyses.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D2fd9660204%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1696190662304000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2NXKPYx5C6UI4ykXymX-D4\">subset analyses<\/a>. Doing too many subset analyses can lead to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4632208\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D4a0ee08d89%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1696190662304000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3DR3N9i48sdq_YUavZxvuZ\">false positives<\/a>, which are results that look like they show a real connection but actually happen just by chance. This problem is often called data dredging, and it makes weak patterns look stronger than they really are.<\/p>\n<p>Hooker\u2019s reanalysis claimed that African-American boys who got the MMR vaccine between ages 24 and 36 months were more likely to be diagnosed with autism. But these children were vaccinated later than usual. It is possible that some of them had already been diagnosed with autism, and they got the vaccine later when their parents enrolled them in early education programs that required children to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>Many large and careful studies do not agree with Hooker\u2019s claim. For example,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/autismsciencefoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/vaccine.2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one in Denmark<\/a>\u00a0 followed more than 650,000 children. It found that children who got the MMR vaccine were no more likely to have autism than children who did not.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the best research shows that vaccines do\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0cause autism. Instead, other\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC4499461\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dd53b2b719c%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1740540038326000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3CO3VlBAhFTXpGRZEFTca4\">studies<\/a>\u00a0show that autism is linked to differences in how the brain develops, especially in the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that helps with planning, decision-making, and social behavior. Scientists believe that about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/preview\/mmwrhtml\/rr5416a1.htm?fbclid=IwAR2hw3OUEMsx948barleKD7GrPof_oRT1WFypXKGrMrenRQpuumDnaMFORc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30\u201340% of people<\/a>\u00a0with long-lasting (chronic) Hep B got it either when they were born or when they were very young. The test for Hep B\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hepb.org\/prevention-and-diagnosis\/diagnosis\/other-tests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is harder<\/a>\u00a0to understand\u00a0than some other tests. A mom might get infected after her first test during pregnancy, but before giving birth.
