The bacteria are often in dirt and soil, not just in manure, like the video claims. Tetanus can cause severe, painful muscle spasms and rigidity, primarily in the jaw and neck. That&#8217;s why it is called &#8220;lockjaw.&#8221; Even with treatment, it can be fatal in about 10% of people who have it.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The bacteria are anaerobic, which means that they cannot survive in oxygen. When oxygen is present or the environment isn&#8217;t best for their survival, the bacteria will form spores and go dormant until conditions improve. The spore can happen because of the oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>At one time, the toxin was made using a mix that included Beef Heart Infusion. But for the past 20 years, companies have used other options made from plants. The screenshot in the video came from a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0264410X05004445\">study<\/a>\u00a0that is more than 20 years old. That study showed a different mix that does\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0have a risk of mad cow disease and does\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0have a risk for people with dairy allergies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The post also speaks to Vitamin C and cites\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecotopia.com\/vitaminc\/1949-07.Klenner.Treatment%20of%20Poliomyelitis%20with%20Vitamin%20C.Southern%20Medicine%20n%20Surgery.pdf\">Klenner<\/a>\u00a0and \u201cother modern reports.&#8221; This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/24226506\/\">study<\/a>\u00a0concludes that \u201csingle, non-randomised, poorly reported trial of vitamin C as a treatment for tetanus suggests a considerable reduction in mortality. However, concerns about trial quality mean that this result must be interpreted with caution and vitamin C cannot be recommended as a treatment for tetanus on the basis of this evidence\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the end, before the vaccine, there were still hundreds of cases of tetanus per year with an over 10% fatality rate. Since 1947, reported tetanus cases have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/tetanus\/php\/surveillance\/index.html\">declined<\/a>\u00a0more than 95%, and reported deaths have declined more than 99%. The study was never published due to serious flaws. It compared vaccinated and unvaccinated children, but the vaccinated kids were seen by doctors more often and followed longer.\u00a0The vaccinated children were more likely to be diagnosed with conditions, even if they were not actually sicker.<\/p>\n<p>The new\u00a0study does not prove that vaccines cause chronic disease. Because it uses the same dataset from the original study.\u00a0But in science, this kind of comparison only works if the groups are truly similar. In this case, they were not. The children differed in important ways, like birth conditions and early health, which can affect chronic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Another major problem is how the study counts illness. Conditions like ADHD, asthma, and allergies are not automatically detected. Children need to see a provider and be evaluated to be diagnosed. If one group of children sees doctors more often, they are more likely to be diagnosed, even if they are not actually sicker.<\/p>\n<p>When we compare this study to much stronger research, the claims fall apart. For example, a long-term population\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/vaccine-education-center\/vaccine-safety\/vaccines-and-other-conditions\/asthma-allergies)\">study<\/a>\u00a0reviewed by the Children\u2019s Hospital of Philadelphia found\u00a0<strong>\u201cno association\u2026 with asthma\u2026 food allergies or hay fever.&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0This directly contradicts the idea that vaccines cause asthma or allergies. In addition, a major\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/12612250\/)\">medical review<\/a>\u00a0published in\u00a0<em>Pediatrics<\/em>\u00a0concluded that\u00a0<strong>\u201clarge well-controlled epidemiologic studies do not support\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0the idea that vaccines cause allergic or autoimmune diseases. This conclusion includes diseases like diabetes, which is an autoimmune condition.<\/p>\n<p>The study\u2019s claims about vaccine ingredients also do not match high-quality evidence. A large\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/vaccine-update-healthcare-professionals\/newsletter\/largest-study-date-aluminum-adjuvanted-vaccines-finds-no-associated-health-risks\">study<\/a>\u00a0looking at aluminum in vaccines found\u00a0<strong>\u201cno associated health risks\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0for autoimmune, allergic, or neurological conditions. Anti-vaxxers\u00a0suggest that vaccine ingredients are harmful, but strong evidence shows they are not linked to these diseases.<\/p>\n<p>The autism claim is especially weak because it has already been tested many times.\u00a0Studies show that autism is mostly caused by genetics and starts very early, even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/health-shots\/2014\/03\/26\/294446735\/brain-changes-suggest-autism-starts-in-the-womb\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dba8865a22d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1731887310907000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3RaDd1u4PMEAzyUCJ06Rpr\">before a baby is born<\/a>.
