That\u2019s a lot of studies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>The first 100 studies listed all discussed the same topic: myocarditis\/pericarditis after COVID vaccination.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tctmd.com\/news\/myocarditis-after-covid-vaccination-rare-resolves-quickly-studies-confirm\">We already know<\/a>\u00a0that myocarditis and pericarditis are rare side effects of the mRNA COVID vaccines, but we also know that myocarditis caused by the vaccine tends to be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41569-021-00662-w\">mild<\/a>\u00a0and self-limiting, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart.org\/en\/news\/2022\/08\/22\/covid-19-infection-poses-higher-risk-for-myocarditis-than-vaccines\">the risks of myocarditis are actually much higher after COVID infection itself<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If we dig further into these lists,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamacardiology\/fullarticle\/2781601\">one link shows<\/a>\u00a0that out of 2.8 million vaccines administered by the military, a total of 23 instances of myocarditis were reported. The article notes: \u201cVigilance for rare adverse events, including myocarditis, after COVID-19 vaccination is warranted but should not diminish overall confidence in vaccination during the current pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The technique of simply\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/speakingofresearch.com\/2012\/09\/11\/gish-gallop\/\">listing papers is a form of Gish Gallop<\/a>. After all, who in their right mind is going to read through 1,000 scientific papers to see if they truly support the claims against vaccines?\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voicesforvaccines.org\/toolkits\/family-advocacy-toolkit-download\/advocacy-on-social-media\/#:~:text=statements%20over%20yours%3F%E2%80%9D-,Gish%20Gallop,-In%20this%20argument\">And that\u2019s really the point<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Those of us who have been around for a while remember the case of the mother who kept adding to her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/insolence\/2013\/09\/26\/in-which-antivaccinationist-ginger-taylor-is-taught-a-lesson-and-not-by-orac\">very long list of articles<\/a>\u00a0she said proved that vaccines cause autism. The tweet suggests several causes, including vaccines and the effects of lockdowns, without considering the possibility that maybe, just maybe,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ourworldindata.org\/grapher\/excess-deaths-cumulative-per-100k-economist?country=OWID_WRL~CHN~IND~USA~IDN~BRA\">these excess deaths could be contributed to COVID itself<\/a>. In the United States alone, there have been over 1 million deaths attributed to COVID, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ourworldindata.org\/grapher\/united-states-rates-of-covid-19-deaths-by-vaccination-status?country=~50%2B\">the vast majority being in unvaccinated people<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This tweet offers no evidence that the vaccine is causing these deaths, conversely, studies show that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/wr\/mm7043e2.htm\">people who received the COVID-19 vaccine actually had lower rates of non\u2013COVID-19 mortality<\/a>\u00a0than unvaccinated people did.
