The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97&amp;id=b16915e415&amp;e=fc0735be13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Db16915e415%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1670617400939000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1uBtsjTxhY2xwgc8T9KrOU\">study<\/a>\u00a0includes an important note: \u201cFollowing infection with an influenza virus, infected or recently recovered individuals become transiently susceptible to excess bacterial infections, particularly\u00a0<em>Streptococcus pneumoniae<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Staphylococcus aureus\u2026<\/em>Importantly, LAIV, unlike wild-type virus, did not increase severe bacterial disease of the lower respiratory tract.\u201d In other words, Strep A infections were not more likely following LAIV vaccination when compared to influenza infection<\/p>\n<p>And while the study did identify increased bacterial load in the nasal cavity in mice of\u00a0<em>Staphylococcus aureus<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Streptococcus pneumoniae<\/em>, neither of those two bacteria are Group A Streptococcus.\u00a0<em>Staphylococcus aureus<\/em>\u00a0isn\u2019t even streptococcus, and\u00a0<em>Streptococcus\u00a0pneumoniae<\/em>\u00a0is a Group B strep. The cardiologist is incorrect to fill in the gap of unexplained causes (in this case of cardiac events) with the vaccine. His is an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Argument_from_ignorance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D25d5d6991d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666565760277000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3ICaVSwBKqGrE8u15gm2zq\">argument from ignorance<\/a>. If he believes that the vaccine is causing all these cardiac events, he needs to prove that they are instead of pointing to events with no known cause.<\/p>\n<p>This essay\u2019s authors are COVID minimalists who have made their names looking for reasons to dismiss COVID diseases and refuse COVID vaccination. This essay is more of the same: downplaying COVID, and overstating the risks of the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>COVID vaccines have been associated with an increased risk of myocarditis in young males. COVID infection, though, dramatically increases the risk of serious complications to such a level that the two aren\u2019t\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccines\/acip\/meetings\/downloads\/slides-2022-07-19\/03-COVID-Shimabukuro-508.pdf\">comparable<\/a>. They found that the top 10 states, with an average of 73% vaccination uptake, had about 75 deaths per 100,000, while the bottom 10 states, with about 52% coverage had 146 deaths per 100,00.<\/p>\n<p>During the study\u2019s run, we would \u201chave averted 122,\u202f304 deaths if COVID-19 mortality matched that of the 10 most-vaccinated states and 266\u202f700 deaths if US excess all-cause mortality rate matched that of the 10 most-vaccinated states.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vaccines were the game-changer.
