The tweeter claims that \u201cover 17,000 scientists and doctors around the world\u201d support the video claims as \u201cscientific fact.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>The video-featured physician starts is infamous for making false claims about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines; his claims here are no exception. There are two issues with this claim: it is based on the beliefs of a person with no medical background and it misrepresents the data cited.<\/p>\n<p>When we evaluate the accuracy of any claim, it\u2019s important to consider the expertise of the source. Here, we have a physician known for spreading COVID-19 misinformation. The authority this physician cites for his claims is a self-described equity investment executive with no medical or public health background.<\/p>\n<p>This executive claims that people aged 25\u201345\u00a0 who had the COVID-19 vaccine experienced an 84 percent increase in mortality, but\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/factcheck-excess-mortality\/fact-check-no-evidence-that-people-aged-25-44-experienced-an-84-increase-in-excess-mortality-due-to-covid-vaccine-rollout-idUSL2N2VS1BI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D43ca15b207%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0D9OvjeghLRxYNVecPfn3n\">this claim has been proven false<\/a>. Our non-medical executive also tries to support his false claim with a graph of excess deaths taken from CDC\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/nvss\/vsrr\/covid19\/excess_deaths.htm#dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D1dbbe725de%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw03OHchn5y2LZcyFLWAWz0w\">data<\/a>. However, the data he uses actually represent excess deaths due to COVID itself. There is absolutely no evidence that vaccines were involved in these deaths.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet\u2019s suggestion that mRNA in the COVID vaccine causes cancer is a misrepresentation of a 2018\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-018-0465-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D8f4c2476ad%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3YWxie7JiYaiuE-nHKaqdo\">study<\/a>\u00a0performed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The center did do a study of mRNA, but it was not the mRNA used in the vaccine. As the center explained in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mskcc.org\/news\/scientists-find-cancer-drivers-hiding-new-place\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D8fe50d4ee1%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0X7hNaTd9mwmiHiLoG4tfR\">statement<\/a>\u00a0clarifying their research, \u201cThere are thousands of different kinds of mRNA in human cells. Each kind of mRNA does different things. Of the 147 spreadsheet entries, at least 15 are duplicates, 4 were left completely blank, and several listed no name and a bad URL. Quite a few of his \u201cparticipants\u201d attempted to \u201cprove\u201d their vaccine death claims with baffling assertions. They linked to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyvoice.com\/new-jersey\/cumberland-salem\/obituaries\/cumberland-county-native-college-student-dies-suddenly-26\/827053\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D349de51cf4%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3EN7iJz-qO3yesmWsefpni\">articles<\/a>\u00a0that didn\u2019t mention COVID, vaccination status, or even cause of death. Another person specifically listed a long-time\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/wbbm780\/news\/local\/niu-student-died-of-longstanding-heart-condition-coroner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Deb87c86347%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1680120094123000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3nkf7ZyL9t-HzA2MWHExEA\">condition<\/a>\u00a0as a cause of death.<\/p>\n<p>Based on this homemade and not-so-super unscientific study, our tweeter makes a wild baseless leap, suggesting that colleges and universities should mandate COVID infection to keep students safe.<\/p>\n<p>Because why would students want to protect themselves with a safe, effective vaccine when they could risk catching a vascular disease that has caused organ and neurological damage, as well as millions of
