Any research can be listed in the database, and the disclaimer on the site cautions that having an entry in the database\u00a0\u201cdoes not mean that WHO endorses or recommends those publications or sites, or has verified the content contained within them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/epub\/10.1177\/13524585221123682\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Deb20128a83%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107379000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1PsVlBOhfrWlgtaue1Iz6z\">abstract<\/a>\u00a0for a conference presentation about research that examined two recent cases of MS was posted on the WHO database. It was not a peer-reviewed research paper, just a preliminary case report. Even\u00a0the authors do not claim that the COVID vaccine is a causal link,\u00a0stressing that\u00a0more studies would need to be done to determine if there is any link and that COVID itself is more likely to be associated with autoimmune issues.<\/p>\n<p>While the theory that vaccines could induce an autoimmune disease such as MS may make some logical sense because vaccines involve our immune systems,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/epub\/10.1177\/13524585221123682\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D7963866b8d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107379000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3HNV80HeGpdCXECCxOodFo\">studies of various vaccines<\/a>\u00a0have not shown any connection to MS. In this case, 14 people who received the placebo died,\u00a0and 15 people who received the vaccine died. Two people who received a placebo died from COVID,\u00a0and one person who was vaccinated died from COVID pneumonia. No one\u2019s death was\u00a0caused by\u00a0the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/lancet\/article\/PIIS0140-6736(23)00461-0\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dc7d72ad73d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3sNKx_j0BFKdSgnt375uPa\">Studies<\/a>\u00a0show that communities with many people vaccinated against COVID had lower death rates during the pandemic than those communities with low vaccination rates.\u00a0Furthermore,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cidrap.umn.edu\/covid-19-vaccines-saved-estimated-20-million-lives-1-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D6c227198f9%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw15pljD7hwsMleb1ZrISoy-\">estimates suggest<\/a>\u00a0the COVID vaccines saved 20 million lives in their first year globally. They claim that people should question not only mRNA vaccines but all vaccine manufacturing, licensing, monitoring, and study.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>DNA is an integral part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7987532\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D024ce4abdb%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3W4IjpPPebo9LtrokGefiy\">manufacturing<\/a>\u00a0process for mRNA vaccines. The DNA that encodes for the antigen, or tells a cell how to make that antigen, is used as a template to create mRNA for the vaccine.\u00a0This mRNA carries a copy of the antigen\u2019s template to the cells so they can present antigens on their surface.\u00a0DNA is not needed as an ingredient in the vaccine, and almost all (but trace amounts) are removed from the vaccine before it ever gets close to your arm.<\/p>\n<p>The claim\u00a0that\u00a0the vaccine had a higher proportion of DNA to mRNA\u00a0than is allowed by FDA guidelines stems\u00a0from a non-peer-reviewed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cdn-ceo-ca.s3.amazonaws.com\/1i4tp3q-Sequencing%20of%20bivalent_4-11-23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D4b34455dda%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0xl1MEw670ra9de0FzGLjx\">paper<\/a>, acknowledging that one limitation of the study is the unknown origin of the (expired) vaccine vials they studied, noting\u00a0that the \u201cvials were sent to us anonymously in the mail without cold packs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sciencing.com\/rrna-what-is-it-13714456.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D2be1d53d38%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0_PWd0MaVsLJ1GwnJDUOOv\">mRNA<\/a>\u00a0degrades much faster than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/nature.2012.11555\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D52ac852f0a%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1hFNBmBsoFPRLXS_Hoyzs8\">DNA<\/a>, especially when handled incorrectly (i.e., not kept\u00a0in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonmethodist.org\/blog\/articles\/2020\/dec\/why-the-covid-19-vaccine-needs-to-be-kept-so-cold\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dd3182c405d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3FrbdewfQgweQ6L8sBbdhS\">cold storage<\/a>), any proportion of trace amounts of DNA used in manufacturing would be amplified in expired vials not held at the proper temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>As for the other claim that human cells could use\u00a0reverse transcription of the COVID-19 mRNA in vaccines to create new DNA, the article cites this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8946961\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D574327b9c1%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw37exDHliOciMEZGA73xWYq\">study<\/a>. The study, however, didn\u2019t see any evidence that mRNA was incorporated into the human genome at all. What they did was force transcription using cancer cells \u201cwith active DNA replication which differs from non-dividing somatic cells.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Replication for most cells is regulated, but cancer cells are not regulated and replicate without being stopped. Their transcription of mRNA can go awry, and some mRNA fragments can be reverse transcribed into DNA sequences, meaning\u00a0an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/books\/NBK19424\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D29be46466d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0yBJ9VRcjiJjbacW2X2VXP\">enzyme<\/a>\u00a0is used to generate DNA.\u00a0Even then, the DNA just hangs out, doing nothing, and can\u2019t get into the nucleus where our DNA is.<\/p>\n<p>Even then, the study only found pieces of replicated RNA in the cytoplasm which, like the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/vaccines\/different-vaccines\/how-they-work.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fvaccines%2Fdifferent-vaccines%2Fmrna.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D3492634446%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1686114107380000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0hmcNMMVLaUQojNVcUJPe1\">mRNA from the vaccine<\/a>, can\u2019t enter the nucleus of a cell where our DNA is stored in order to change it.<\/p>\n<p>This study did something that wouldn\u2019t actually happen to you with the COVID vaccine, even if you had cancer.
