The explanation about how this claim was made has to do with the number of COVID deaths during a placebo-controlled trial; twice as many people died from COVID who were given the placebo than were given the vaccine, thus allegedly leading pharmaceutical companies to claim the vaccine was 100% effective.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>There are several problems with this statement from RFK Jr. First, his math is off, given that\u00a02 is 200% \u2013not 100%\u2013 of 1.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly,\u00a0the FDA approval of\u00a0the Pfizer vaccine under an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-takes-key-action-fight-against-covid-19-issuing-emergency-use-authorization-first-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dd34132a708%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895129000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2rpZ6EjkHEZ8gB9WDbGDpX\">Emergency Use Authorization<\/a>\u00a0(EUA) in Dec 2020\u00a0was clear about the available effectiveness data, where it was specified that the vaccine was\u00a0<strong>95%\u00a0effective<\/strong>\u00a0in preventing COVID-19 disease. Neither in the EUA authorization nor the final\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-approves-first-covid-19-vaccine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D2c1a6cedd9%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895129000&amp;usg=AOvVaw02vIma1cmOVHmbW0VZGVg-\">authorization<\/a>\u00a0has it ever been claimed that the vaccine was 100% effective. A 100% effective vaccine would entirely eliminate the possibility of contracting a disease\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voicesforvaccines.org\/toolkits\/community-immunity-toolkit\/understanding-community-immunity\/\">something no vaccine claims to do<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another issue with the claim is that the NTV (the number needed to be vaccinated to save one life) should have been given. This claim is based on the assumption\u00a0that the only COVID endpoint of note\u00a0is death.<\/p>\n<p>Not only can COVID itself be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/a-tsunami-of-disability-is-coming-as-a-result-of-lsquo-long-covid-rsquo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D76d3bb5970%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895129000&amp;usg=AOvVaw36GtCKambQxO5XEjR6fkac\">debilitating<\/a>\u00a0and therefore worthy of prevention on its own, but when the vaccines were first authorized under EUA, the hospital systems were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/wr\/mm7046a5.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dbf84ee751c%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895129000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0dei87xsJPJgFTa09RewXQ\">overwhelmed<\/a>\u00a0with COVID\u00a0cases, and excess deaths occurred even in non-COVID situations due to the healthcare crisis.\u00a0Preventing severe illness that leads to hospitalization and death saves people and our healthcare cardiologist<\/a> has taken to Twitter to claim that Hepatitis vaccines are not necessary or safe for newborns, pointing to a claim that Hep B vaccines have only 5 days of safety monitoring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Vaccine inserts are legal documents and not medical or research documents. Looking at the actual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/study\/NCT00414050?tab=results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Da7d830a4ff%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895130000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1nX_jxpnXWe1_111DWDwU-\">clinical trial<\/a>\u00a0information for the Hep B vaccine shows that the \u201cfive days\u201d were specifically for injection site non-serious adverse events (NSAEs). Researchers watched for serious events for the length of the study (5 months for that particular study), 14 days for systemic\u00a0NSAEs (i.e., fevers), and five only days for the injection site NSAEs.<\/p>\n<p>Hep B infection can lead to chronic Hep B. Chronic Hep B can last a lifetime and lead to serious illnesses such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. The younger you are when you get hepatitis B, the more likely it will become chronic. There is no cure for hepatitis B, but vaccines can prevent it.<\/p>\n<p>The widespread implementation of Hep B vaccination programs, including the birth dose, has led to significant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4550866\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D1b6dbfebf8%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687804895130000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1GLq-h7gbsrF8tTBhSGqa8\">reductions<\/a>\u00a0in Hep B worldwide.
