Predictably, antivaccine conspiracy theorists blamed vaccines.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/frankspeech.com\/video\/dr-mccullough-death-lisa-marie-presley-public-health-obligation-disclose-cause-cardiac-arrest\">Here<\/a>, a cardiologist says the vaccines must be pulled off the market. Others\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stkirsch\/status\/1614144849120460804?lang=en\">tried<\/a>\u00a0to take Snopes to task for reporting a lack of evidence of vaccine involvement with her death.<\/p>\n<p>Autopsy reports have been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/07\/13\/entertainment\/lisa-marie-presley-cause-of-death\/index.html\">released<\/a>, and the medical examiner states Lisa Marie Presley passed away due to a bowel obstruction. The obstruction was caused by scar tissue, known as adhesions, resulting from surgery several years prior.<\/p>\n<p>Vaccines typically contain only tiny amounts of the germ or parts of it, not enough to physically block any part of the body, including the intestines, or cause adhesions that would do so. They cannot cause bowel obstruction because they don\u2019t interact with the digestive system in that way. The usual suspects are connecting this medical event to vaccines, with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1683852156749729793?s=20\">owner<\/a> of the social media platform formerly known as Twitter connecting this event to myocarditis and to all we apparently do not know about vaccines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Bronny James is in stable condition after suffering cardiac arrest during basketball practice.<\/p>\n<p>While there is a risk of developing myocarditis from receiving COVID mRNA vaccines, the risk is relatively low. And most people who had it got better without any big problems. Anti-vaccine activists claim that vaccines have caused a jump in cardiovascular injuries, yet COVID infections are more likely to cause them.<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/fcvm.2022.951314\/full#\">\u00a0The relative risk for myocarditis is more than 7 times higher from COVID infection<\/a>\u00a0than<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>from vaccination<\/strong>. And while these activists like to point out that Bronny James sure got the vaccine, data from the CDC\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/covid-19-children-infection-antibodies-cdc-estimates\/\">estimates<\/a>\u00a0that in his age cohort, over 90% have had at least one COVID infection.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiac arrest is the most common\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/sudden-cardiac-arrest\/in-depth\/sudden-death\/art-20047571\">cause of death<\/a>\u00a0among young adult athletes, with Black basketball players at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4969030\/\">higher risk<\/a>\u00a0than others. His history of claiming that vaccines are prone to causing autism, particularly in some sub-segments of the population, is being\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrJudyAMikovits\/status\/1682152847948005376?s=20\">recirculated by people<\/a> who agree and feel like now is the moment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>RFK Jr.\u2019s claims about autism are based on a re-analysis by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vaccinateyourfamily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Whistleblower_QA012017_updatedSept2020.pdf\">Brian Hooker<\/a>\u00a0(chemical engineer) of a previous autism study. One of its co-authors of the original study expressed concerns about the original findings, claiming that important data was left out. So, Hooker got the data he claimed was missing, added it to the study, and did his own calculations.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/now-retracted-autism-study-viral\/story?id=25248179\">CDC<\/a>\u00a0defended its original study and said there was no cover-up.<\/p>\n<p>Experts criticized Hooker\u2019s re-analysis, saying it was flawed and didn\u2019t consider other variables that could influence the results. They questioned how he used the CDC data set and argued that the study design was inappropriate for his analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Hooker used a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/himmelfarb.gwu.edu\/tutorials\/studydesign101\/casecontrols.cfm\">cohort design<\/a>\u00a0to analyze a dataset originally intended for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/himmelfarb.gwu.edu\/tutorials\/studydesign101\/casecontrols.cfm\">case-control analysis<\/a>. Subsequently, he performed multiple\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/handbook-5-1.cochrane.org\/chapter_9\/9_6_2_what_are_subgroup_analyses.htm\">subset analyses<\/a>, which can besusceptible to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4632208\/\">false positives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When evidence is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HpjlcEH4zuY&amp;feature=youtu.be\">excessively segmented<\/a>\u00a0or divided into smaller subsets for analysis, there is a higher likelihood of observing apparent correlations that may not nactually be meaningful or valid. This phenomenon is often called the \u201cmultiple comparisons problem\u201d or \u201cdata dredging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s illustrate this with an example:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Imagine a researcher is studying the relationship between eating ice cream and the incidence of sunburns in a particular city over the summer months. They collect dataon ice cream sales and sunburn cases for each day of the summer and decide to analyze the data in several ways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>They compare ice cream sales on sunny days vs. cloudy days to see if more ice cream is sold on sunny days. They find a correlation: more ice cream is sold on sunny days.<\/li>\n<li>They analyze sunburn cases on sunny days vs. cloudy days to see if more sunburns occur on sunny days. They find a correlation: more sunburns occur on sunny days.<\/li>\n<li>They break the data into different age groups and compare ice cream sales and sunburn cases for each group. They find correlations within certain age groups.<\/li>\n<li>They split the data into different time intervals (morning, afternoon, and evening) and compared ice cream sales and sunburn cases for each interval.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>They find correlations within some time periods.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the researcher has several apparent correlations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunny days are correlated with higher ice cream sales.<\/li>\n<li>Sunny days are correlated with more sunburn cases.<\/li>\n<li>Certain age groups show correlations between ice cream sales and sunburn cases.<\/li>\n<li>Specific time intervals show correlations between ice cream sales and sunburn cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>But here\u2019s the catch:<\/strong>\u00a0just because these correlations appear in the data doesn\u2019t necessarily mean a true cause-and-effect relationship exists between eating ice cream and getting sunburned. Most of the mRNA stays at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/healthfeedback.org\/claimreview\/unsubstantiated-claims-by-michael-palmer-sucharit-bhakdi-dont-demonstrate-covid-19-vaccines-harm-organs\/\">injection site<\/a>, but some of it travels and is taken up by other organs.<\/p>\n<p>Like in every other situation, the mRNA will then direct those cells to produce spike protein, which will be anchored to those cells, and then the mRNA will degrade within a day or so. Because the mRNA cannot access the nucleus of the cell where DNA resides, it does not change your DNA, and it cannot, therefore, give you turbo cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Rather, the spike proteins trigger an immune response and nothing else. They are not capable of entering another cell or replicating. They are just on display for your immune system to learn about.<\/p>\n<p>Testicular cancer is the most\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/health\/conditions-and-diseases\/testicular-cancer\/testicular-cancer-statistics#\">common<\/a>\u00a0malignancy in men 20 to 40 and second most common in men 15-19.
