The article he links to asserts that 94% of COVID deaths were in those who had received four doses of COVID vaccines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Over 11 million people were 65 years old in the UK in 2021. Have over 9 million of them died without the world noticing? No. And the article he references also does not make that assertion.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s tackle the assertion from the article: that 94% of COVID deaths were among the double-boosted.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/birthsdeathsandmarriages\/deaths\/bulletins\/deathsinvolvingcovid19byvaccinationstatusengland\/deathsoccurringbetween1april2021and31may2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D013a636af9%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273994000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3kSFMDUsocnx3RRer6-i8G\">Office of National Statistics<\/a>\u00a0(ONS), where\u00a0this data originated, shows that since\u00a0COVID\u00a0boosters became available\u00a0in September 2021, monthly mortality rates for COVID-19 have consistently been lower for individuals who received a third dose or booster in the last 21 days compared to those who are unvaccinated or have only received one or two doses. Similar trends are seen for those who received a fourth dose or an extra booster in the spring 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The claimant falls into the trap of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/0001691880900463\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D9c46c9346c%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273994000&amp;usg=AOvVaw322pZ9ek2NtPRPdcxI2fn-\">base-rate\u00a0fallacy<\/a>: when a person\u00a0ignores the probability that someone is vaccinated in the first place. For example, by the end of August 2022, over\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/healthandsocialcare\/conditionsanddiseases\/articles\/coronaviruscovid19latestinsights\/vaccines#:~:text=In%20the%20UK%20by%20the,received%20three%20or%20more%20doses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D70e6420efb%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273994000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1fepVDIjQjwYd8dCoWCEEt\">93.6%<\/a>\u00a0of all\u00a0people 12 years and up\u00a0have had at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.\u00a0The vaccination rate was even\u00a0higher among those who are both older and more likely to die from COVID infection.<\/p>\n<p>Comparing the raw numbers of COVID cases rather than\u00a0the\u00a0rate\u00a0of COVID infection by vaccine status, it seems there are more cases in the vaccinated population than in the unvaccinated population. But that is one way to make the numbers lie. The rate of infection, or what proportion of people died from COVID,\u00a0\u00a0shows that you are much\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/healthfeedback.org\/claimreview\/england-mortality-data-shows-lower-covid19-mortality-risk-among-vaccinated-people-compared-unvaccinated-slay-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3De27adb5f61%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273994000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0X1GQIqdYKLgLhV85UroEg\">more likely to catch<\/a>\u00a0(and die)\u00a0from COVID if you are FDA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The known precisely because it poses no danger to anyone.\u201d They cite this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/full\/10.1002\/hsr2.428\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dbed53baf7d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273995000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2UQx-KWN4ltc4c8mxJ9uI9\">article<\/a>\u00a0to assert that\u00a0only 17 infants die per year due to RSV.<\/p>\n<p>However, this claim counts those deaths where RSV is a primary contributing cause and ignores RSV as an \u201cunderlying contributing cause of death.\u201d The underlying cause on a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/books\/NBK526015\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Deefe745d52%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273995000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1iD6ptc5MWfOgvbXB_IyWD\">death certificate<\/a>\u00a0is the very first thing that happened in the series of causal events leading to someone\u2019s death. As such, RSV is still a cause of death.<\/p>\n<p>The article cites Dr. Paul Offit and his purported concern about an increased risk of premature birth in the vaccinated participants and a decreased risk in the placebo group.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/pages\/current-issues-vaccines-fall-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D9bdd440094%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1701882273995000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3KI308PXG_Yz-HZHUmIzPM\">listen<\/a>\u00a0to Dr. Offit himself, however, he observes that the initial signal appeared only in lower- and middle-income countries.\u00a0But in those places, the presence of an additional vaccine is not linked to an increase in prematurity rates in the vaccine group. Instead, there is a clear decrease in prematurity rates in the placebo group.
