However, the Vitamin K shot doesn\u2019t contain aluminum in anything other than trace amounts, much like everything else on this planet \u2013 including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwn.cdc.gov\/tsp\/phs\/phs.aspx?phsid=1076&amp;toxid=34\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3De33b8b3188%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2Lod2R91S-BrOEINNY0P2z\">drinking water<\/a>. A birth dose of\u00a0Vitamin\u00a0K\u00a0has only ever been noted in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/24059412\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D8daa01772c%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3BULU9yeS_p2xC7H8x9ejc\">one life-threatening case<\/a>\u00a0in a newborn in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Why do we give the Vitamin K shot at birth? Babies are born with very low levels of\u00a0Vitamin\u00a0K, putting them at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/ncbddd\/vitamink\/faqs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D58e7edeae9%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3NWsURMvi7Kp70aGttwRAy\">risk for hemorrhagic disease<\/a>\u00a0(uncontrolled bleeding). The\u00a0Vitamin\u00a0K\u00a0shot has reduced the number of severe bleeding cases in babies.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet also tries to link the Hepatitis B vaccine to neurological damage. The birth dose of Hepatitis B prevents the worst possible complications of the disease, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.preventcancer.org\/programs\/think-about-the-link\/fact-sheet-hepatitis-b-and-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Df432c03619%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2WyhtSgyr0jbVHf5PYX8Au\">cancer or cirrhosis of the liver<\/a>.\u00a0If a newborn catches Hep B, they have a 90% chance of the disease becoming\u00a0<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Db4f99a34f9%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2geH0aA-p-HN1h9zzgLuts\">anti-vaccine Twitter\u00a0<\/a>to claim that COVID vaccines are causing Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div is a brain disorder that causes\u00a0mental deterioration and dementia, ending in death. While rare, there are about 350 cases in the US every year. This tweeter\u00a0is pointing to 25 cases in 2023 and claiming them all to be caused by the vaccine without any evidence that any of these people received a vaccine. His claims about a rapid form\u00a0of CJD being a\u00a0new phenomenon are wrong since\u00a0CJD is known to have cases with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucsfhealth.org\/conditions\/creutzfeldt-jakob-disease\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dd645653a05%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0H92K7aOJmHyyq3ljUh8Od\">rapid onset<\/a>, where death can occur within weeks.<\/p>\n<p>This particular\u00a0claim, however, stems from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2021\/03\/31\/fact-check-covid-19-vaccine-not-associated-prion-disease\/7053007002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Da8bc408c7d%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705703327032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0IjFzAX7xS2kOrdvojJ1L0\">a paper by J.
