The study,\u00a0which was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/retractionwatch.com\/2017\/05\/08\/retracted-vaccine-autism-study-republished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D67d1cff0d7%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2jdG1aNqEX3CTGDR5WIJ1G\">retracted<\/a>\u00a0a month after it was published, relied on surveys sent out to parents of homeschooled children. They didn\u2019t specify how many people were eligible to take the survey, but they only received 415 responses.<\/p>\n<p>One concern about their methods is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statisticshowto.com\/self-selection-bias\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D3669c7138a%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1oYx8AtV-Enb694x0PWSfO\">self-selection bias<\/a>, or volunteer bias, in which participants can decide whether or not to participate in the study. Additionally, the home-schooling population is not representative of the general population, and some reasons to homeschool include a \u201cdesire to provide moral instruction\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nces.ed.gov\/programs\/coe\/indicator\/tgk\/homeschooled-children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D0c0fa58917%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2O3I3rqIRF7jleCcDtvPh9\">child has special needs<\/a>\u201d or other health problems.<\/p>\n<p>Along with self-selection bias, a study design like this introduces other biases such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/catalogofbias.org\/biases\/recall-bias\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D772b4fc555%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1tP5NoFvqEK2emoG3OldeC\">recall bias<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/catalogofbias.org\/biases\/reporting-biases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D367d866a13%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw36DSumQHPdRu6xcXN8-J6H\">reporting bias<\/a>. The study itself shows that the unvaccinated group was less likely to seek medical or dental care and less likely to use medications. It goes on to claim that the vaccine actually caused 17 million deaths.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >The Facts:<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Straight from the author who claims that all-cause mortality during COVID\u00a0was not from a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/341832637_All-cause_mortality_during_COVID-19_No_plague_and_a_likely_signature_of_mass_homicide_by_government_response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D1324a1eb00%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1R-IVnsZcIZtnNA-dDK71m\">plague and a likely signature of mass homicide by government response<\/a>\u201d comes a new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231002173714\/https:\/\/correlation-canada.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/2023-09-17-Correlation-Covid-vaccine-mortality-Southern-Hemisphere-cor.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D3ad8c44272%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw350TYxiAfV0I-lNoDfHm-L\">report<\/a>\u00a0that attempts to link all-cause mortality to the COVID vaccine. He ignores the idea of COVID itself causing death\u00a0because he just doesn\u2019t believe\u00a0COVID causes death.<\/p>\n<p>The claims rely on graphs to show that vaccine rollout corresponds to spikes in all-cause mortality, but he makes a mistake by using the one-year rolling average\u00a0as a proxy for all-cause mortality. A one-year rolling average\u00a0wouldn\u2019t show the full impact of the pandemic for up to a year, as the rolling average includes deaths from pre-pandemic times.<\/p>\n<p>To find where you see the vaccine rollout, you would have to check the graph up to a year later. Testing for hep B is more complicated than other kinds of tests. Because of this, some mothers caught hep B after they got tested during prenatal care and before they gave birth. Tests can sometimes give false negatives. Other mistakes in testing include ordering the wrong tests, misreading the results, or miscommunicating\u00a0the results.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the possibility of a missed Hepatitis B infection in the mother, the Hepatitis B virus can live on surfaces for up to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/health.mo.gov\/living\/healthcondiseases\/communicable\/hepatitisb\/#:~:text=HBV%20is%20a%20hardy%20organism,jewelry%20and%20other%20sharp%20items.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Df4b70e3acc%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708848375903000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1qRHTZ--5PFyQvjdrDRTg6\">7 days<\/a>, including in dried blood. It can also be transmitted through bites like those in daycare or playgroup settings. The most likely side effects are\u00a0just pain and soreness at the injection site,\u00a0without any documented serious side effects.<\/p>\n<p>If the hep B vaccine causes any serious side effects, they are extremely rare\u2014so rare that we haven\u2019t found any in several millions of doses.
