Importantly, epidemiological studies have found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/centers-programs\/vaccine-education-center\/vaccine-ingredients\/sv40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D4ccd99e7dd%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841346000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3PL3mtv6dPOAffWqoFZCNV\">no increased\u00a0<\/a>cancer risk\u00a0in those who received these vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, a promoter gene (a DNA sequence that starts RNA transcription)\u00a0of SV40 has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s12033-014-9738-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D85de3ec615%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841346000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1gL20l1kpR26cAdwp7nqLy\">found<\/a>\u00a0to promote a high level of gene expression for producing proteins and has been used in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scirp.org\/html\/2-5100106_44968.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dd16459fb28%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841346000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2blp-CtBiyN4Bva9zfzMFM\">DNA vaccines<\/a>. The sequence used is just the promoter gene and does not include any part of the DNA sequence that encodes for the T antigen of SV40. While promoters like the SV40 promoter are used in the manufacturing of mRNA vaccines, they are not considered an ingredient in the vaccines as the vast majority of it is removed during production.<\/p>\n<p>Manufacturing vaccines for a small batch for a trial is a very different\u00a0process\u00a0than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.pfizer.com\/pfizercom\/How_Pfizer_Scaled_Up_Manufacturing_Covid19_10182022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dc71fc0333f%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841346000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2duM5ieJ9-jQl8xAsfvXSm\">manufac<wbr \/>turing<\/a>\u00a0thousands of doses at a time.\u00a0Process\u00a01 is\u00a0the\u00a0small batch\u00a0process, while\u00a0process\u00a02 is\u00a0the\u00a0scaled-up version.<\/p>\n<p>Although\u00a0the\u00a0processes\u00a0are different, they are both held to\u00a0the\u00a0same safety and quality standards.<\/p>\n<p>Original claims that DNA plasmids were found in mRNA vaccines at a higher proportion of mRNA to DNA than is allowed by FDA guidelines stem from a previous preprint\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/healthfeedback.org\/claimreview\/claim-covid-19-mrna-vaccines-dna-contaminants-study-unknown-provenance-no-evidence-covid-19-mrna-vaccines-alter-dna-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D8588dd9974%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841347000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2zaVYH7Yw4UmWharQwzILp\">paper<\/a>\u00a0acknowledging that one limitation of\u00a0the\u00a0study is\u00a0the\u00a0\u201cunknown provenance of\u00a0the\u00a0vaccine vials under study.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They also note that\u00a0the\u00a0vaccines arrived without proper cold chain\u00a0processes\u00a0and were all expired. In it, of the more than 600,000\u00a0adolescents and children who had been vaccinated, there were a grand total of 3 cases of myocarditis, nine (9) cases of pericarditis after the first dose, and three (3) cases of pericarditis after the second dose. None of the pericarditis cases required hospitalization, and some of the myocarditis patients were hospitalized but didn\u2019t stay longer than one day.<\/p>\n<p>Contrast that to the risks associated with COVID infection. There were six (6) COVID emergency room attendances and 24 COVID-19 hospitalizations. Importantly, the incidence of COVID-related hospitalizations and emergency care visits was lower in vaccinated adolescents compared to unvaccinated ones.<\/p>\n<p>What this tweet fails to consider is that the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis is exceedingly low. Myocarditis and pericarditis had rates of 27 and 10 cases per million people after the first and second doses, respectively. Also, the reduction in the risk of COVID hospitalization was greater than the increase in the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis due to vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>As for \u201cmyocarditis and pericarditis\u00a0only occur after vaccination and not after COVID infection,\u201d as the tweet claims, they misunderstand the full picture. The study looked at only adolescents and children, for which myocarditis and pericarditis are extremely rare occurrences in any circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>In this study, they found no instances of myocarditis and pericarditis after COVID-19 infection. First off, there is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/healthfeedback.org\/claimreview\/contrary-to-viral-facebook-claim-numerous-studies-show-vaccines-dont-cause-autism\/?fbclid=IwAR2hOUTbPgWnOMVE_k5mK7V8sv0Ue6egZkD4185rZtpKaKSEyirUavEde5g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Df0d009b981%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841347000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2ucVG400kgLPRUWpILcZHn\">plenty of evidence<\/a>\u00a0that tells us that vaccines do not cause\u00a0autism.<\/p>\n<p>Not only do\u00a0the\u00a0studies done to date show vaccines are not in any way linked to\u00a0autism, but\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4499461\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D20d660d5df%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841347000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2Uo_tdTVVal1rDBGt3P13J\">studies<\/a>\u00a0indicate disorganization of\u00a0the\u00a0prefrontal cortex in\u00a0the\u00a0brains of\u00a0autistic\u00a0people. This finding about brains links\u00a0autism\u00a0to development that takes place before birth.<\/p>\n<p>Of all\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/03\/30\/opinion\/sunday\/how-to-think-about-the-risk-of-autism.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3D9db2ddb9ca%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841347000&amp;usg=AOvVaw34E68dVBD4kjlpN2oN0pXs\">risk factors<\/a>\u00a0for developing\u00a0autism, we know genetics looks\u00a0the\u00a0most likely, and being vaccinated is not among them.<\/p>\n<p>The next idea is the supposed unexplained explosion of cases. One familiar villain is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/centers-programs\/vaccine-education-center\/vaccine-ingredients\/thimerosal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/voicesforvaccines.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3De17a65409cd8f13ba7e58cc97%26id%3Dc26b13490f%26e%3Dfc0735be13&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717868841347000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1tP9KOOOPzwmeYsdbsVMgt\">thimerosal<\/a>, an organic mercury compound that was removed from all routine childhood vaccines since 2001, over 20 years ago. The study included no information on vaccination records.
