Even before I became a pediatrician, I believed in the power of the scientific process. Once I became a pediatrician, the process became that much more important since I knew science was helping me provide the best ways to protect and treat my patients. Now that I am also the mother of a former 31-week premie, the science-proven safety and efficacy of vaccinations has become even more important in protecting my own daughter.
