I immunize for my health and the health of those around me. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to receive the first of the series of two of the COVID-19 vaccine. On a personal level, the devastation of this illness is real; I don’t want it and I don’t want to spread it to my family members. As a health care provider, I believe that is is my profession and ethical responsibility to vaccinate, so as to protect my patients and my teammates.
