I immunize because I have seen first hand the dangers of viruses that vaccines protect against. At 6 weeks old, our daughter contracted meningitis and is left with epilepsy and HIE brain damage after suffering from a stroke while sick with meningitis. At the time she was not old enough to vaccinate. I vaccinate my child, to protect her, and also to protect those who cannot handle vaccinations, those to young or immunocompromised. Vaccines save lives, and viruses which are protected against with vaccines, have the potential to cause permanent damage (like my daughters personal case) and also to end up deadly.
