I have seen the effects of rubella in my friends brother. He caught this as a young child and had encephalitis because of it. He's the sweetest guy and he was forever changed by the disease. My son has a liver transplant and my mom has a kidney transplant. My son can't have any live vaccines. They both are going to be on immune suppression medicines the rest of their lives. I vaccinate to protect my loved ones and others who cannot be vaccinated.
