I got a scare a few months ago: blisters on my forehead and down to the tip of my nose that could have been shingles. It caused pain in my left eye and threatened my eyesight. Several weeks ago, my sister developed a painful case of shingles on her back. So I decided it was time to get my shingles vaccine and I’m so glad I did. It was free at my Walgreens with my health insurance. One more dose in April, and I will be protected from pain and blindness for the rest of my life.
