Thus far in 2019, the United States has experienced nearly 1,000 cases of measles–and we can expect more.

But when can we expect the outbreaks to end, and what can we do to make them end?

For answers to these important questions, we turned to Dr. Paul Offit, who has expertise from decades as an infectious disease specialist and from his battle against a large-scale measles outbreak in Philadelphia in the early 1990s.
